devon da poet - 'Black Gold'

2014-10-29 2

He is the nutmeg from Grenada:
Olympic gold
Red mace, yellow pad, green leaves
The flag around his shoulders
High demands: scarcity in production
A man of geniality;
He runs with compassion
He is the best in the world;
Number one in quality
A true spice gives back to charity
Humble and peaceful from a little archipelago island
He was never crumbled by Miss Emily and Mr. Ivan
He is an ideal specimen for all spice men
An elegant ingredient is what you are
An ambassador in culinary and culture
You improves the nation's GDP
A surplus for the economy
Finally you're on international magazines
Reping Grenada with your image on clothing
I'll 'respect the nutmeg' as you dreams unfold
I salute you Kirani James... 'Black Gold'!
