Windsor Guadalupe Jr - Slither

2014-10-29 3

Silently a snake slithers
Calculating the errs of
Physics and kinetics
A fray of inertia and love.

A tree,
Reticent, acquiesce to the snake’s hiss
And modest wonders -
A waltz over slivers of fire.

The snake’s dance -
A sluggish skirmish
With darling sojourns
The grass rustles upon
The serpent’s eloquent body
Cushioning the Earth
On its way to a taut coil

The flowers stop prying
As they shed their petals,
The other trees jealous,
The breaths of the foliage
Are ridiculed to somnolence,
The other creatures,
Taken aback

As the snake spirals
The tree – an inviting helix.
