Do you remember on the playground?
when we would play like we were married,
and all my friends would chase you,
and I would be the one to find a hiding spot for us,
and we would wait it out until our teacher blew her whistle,
then we would go inside,
and at lunch we would share our chips,
and you would play with your food,
and nobody could eat peanut butter,
because one guy was allergic,
and at nap time,
when we would sleep next to each other,
and our teacher thought that was the cutest thing,
how I would cuddle up next to you and say you were my big brother,
and you agreed just so I didn't have to move,
All the substitute teachers didn't get it,
how two 5yr old's could be that close,
or how when I left early for a doctors appointment you would come with me because our parents knew each other and you didn't want me to cry,
and when the circus came to town we went with each other just for the elephants,
and every one knew we were best friends,
or maybe more than that?
All I know is...
I've loved you since we were kids...
