This dawn is a wonderful dawning
Fluffy clouds dance to a tune
An expanse of bright gold and yellow
Enhances the wonder of June.
The borders of flowers blend together
Sparkling in the summertime glow
And the air is so fresh this morning
Cheering one's heart, ever so!
A stillness and calmness within me
Prompts a poetical lay,
And my words flow gently and sweetly
As birds hearken to all that I say.
Today brings an old-fashioned picture
A Van Gogh antique makes me swoon,
And I feel just like singing loud praises
To God ~ for the beautiful glory of June.
