Elizabeth Barry - The Gardeners gifts

2014-10-29 42

You bring me gifts of beauty
And a place where I find peace,
This home of hidden treasure’s
My tensions do release.

Festoons of various flowers
Many colours enchanting to see,
Forever growing beautiful
Oh how it welcomes me.

The roses and the Marigolds
Sway gently in the breeze,
All through the summer their fragrance is mine to keep
Then the tulips and the daffodils take over whilst they sleep.

Colours of the evergreens glow with vibrancy
All through the year and grow so perfectly
I love my little paradise
All this is mine and free.

I feed you with my care and love
Before we go to sleep
And in the morning when I wake
The rewards I do so reap.
