I remember a friend:
Her ways, her warmth, her smile
Crouching through the overhanging sleeves
Of a torn-out, withered school uniform.
The color had faded
From brilliant white to pale-stained blue,
Reminding ties of teenage resonance
Still flaring.
I could find no reason
To keep this old clothing
But only to recall
The thoughts I'm missing.
Though years had passed
And time's grown old,
My heart still wavers 'round
Her form, her soul,
Her being.
