Heather Nunnally - Missing You Grandma

2014-10-29 5

I listen to this song
That reminds me of you
Man it's been so long
I hope you think of me too

I miss you so much
The way we just sat there and talked
I just wish I could touch
You and we could have walked

I don't even care where
Just being around you made my day
I wouldn't even care
If the sky was gray

I know you're in heaven so far
Looking down on me
From that big bright star

Wish you could be
Down here with us
Telling us not to cry
And showing us your lust

You had soft wrinkles
And your hair was all shaved off
But the way your eye twinkles
It took away from that painful cough

Now your house is torn down
But your memory will last
I'm now going to drown
In the thing they call a cast

I never got to say goodbye
So there's an aching in my heart
As I look towards the sky
I can't figure out where to start

I want to tell you I miss you
and can't wait to see your face
But now I must go on
I will see you again someday
