My Magnolia tree is just spectacular
In the south is where it originally grew
So tall and sturdy and proud
I know you would think so too
Underneath each leaf I’ve found
Is just like velvet to touch
I’ve seen them in southern yards
And I loved them so very much
Enormous flowers decorate the trees
In an old-fashioned kind of way
They always make me smile
I wish they could forever stay
I’ve enjoyed them at plantations
All throughout the southern states
As I’ve traveled ‘round the country
A lovely statement they make
Now one adorns my entire landscape
At least it seems so to me
I brought it to Washington State
My magnificent Magnolia tree!
