Francis Duggan - Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

2014-10-29 25

You've heard of the old saying let sleeping dogs lie
Which in another way put means leave old grudges die
Do not harbour old grudges for as long as you live
You may not forget but you sure can forgive

And since little in life ever does seem to last
Your friend of tomorrow may be your foe of the past
For in life as we know there is no guarantee
And your best friend can become your worst enemy.

The past is behind you and let bygones be gone
And in life your big challenge is to keep on keeping on
True battlers do not falter when the going gets tough
And you prove to the World that you are good enough.

An eye for an eye is not a thing to pursue
And let sleeping dogs lie that to me seem so true
Revenge leads to counter revenge with your past you make peace
And the angst in your soul will find it's own release.
