Edith Oram - It's Raining Again

2014-10-28 11

Droplets of water dangle like crystals,
Wisps of mist waft gently between the trees.
Air is still, so very still, heavy, dank.
Birds flutter to feed, fluffing drenched feathers,
Small mammals scurry swiftly to nests.
Pools of water deepen, become rivulets,
Rushing, gushing down mountains and gutters.
Water soaked earth, sun's pulled down it's shutters.
