Why is it when we go to a hospital
as a patient or a visitor
we always feel worse than we really are?
Hospitals and Dentists
have the same aversion to me,
whenever I get there,
I want to turn right around
and start heading home.
Most of it is in the mind,
but my mind will not listen
though I tell it all the time
there is nothing wrong.
I’m left with that sinking feeling
that I don’t want to be here.
