Theresa Ann Moore - Embarrassing

I hesitate to bring light to an awkward situation.
It is not a topic for casually shared conversation.
The circumstances were modestly horrendous…
The consequences could have been tremendous.

The time was getting more deficient by the second.
Preparing for an occasion that urgently beckoned.
Pressed clothes awaited. I proceeded to the shower.
I must be completely ready to leave within the hour.

The relaxing spray must be short as anxiety doubles…
Rinsing from my head, a crown of shampoo bubbles.
With a nimble step, from the bathtub I did tread…
My foot slipped and a sudden fear flooded my head.

With a falling motion, I knew I could not slow or stop…
Ungracefully, my derrière struck the floor with a plop.
Unfortunately, my surprised noggin hit the flusher tank.
Still conscious and able, the Lord I did immediately thank.

Luckily, there was no need for broken bone realignment.
My shy pride survived, after clumsily nullifying refinement.
Today, I learned that a person should never be in a rush.
Slippery feet with no bathmat can cause a bruising blush.
