On a spiritual high
The world seems brighter
The Christian faith
Grabs hold and pulls tighter
You find yourself thinking
You can get through the bad
You will conquer that problem
And drive out the sad
You know exactly what to say
When your friends seem down
You can give good advice
And keep your feet on the ground
But then the reality
Of this world slaps your face
And you realize you're stuck
In this Hell ridden place
You're stuck here to suffer
And try to move on
And nobody will miss you
After you've gone
You'll just be a person
Who died wondering why
God never put you
On a spiritual high
