If my heart could speak
What would it say
Would it say that it’s tired
And can’t take anymore
Would it say that you’re fired
And point you to the door
Would it say that it’s over
Like it’s done before
But this time really mean it
That it wants to explore
Find one who won’t break it
Someone who’ll adore
The love that it offers
That you toss to the floor
Would it say that your words often cut like a knife
Would it finally realize that there’s much more to life
