Graham Jones - Awaiting Sunshine.

2014-10-28 14

I'm in a world that isn't there
At least not there for me
What is it that I'm lacking
That I can't see what others see

Is there an aura that surrounds me
Restricting vision in the air
Or am I just a marionette
With strings attached and unaware

I try to rise above it
With leaden limbs that hold me back
Its like swimming through an oil pit
And I cannot find the track

I may waste away upon the morn
With this burden filled with fears
Or awake in blessed sunshine
To kiss away my tears

Will I ever shake this loss from me
And engrave me with a smile
Or will I walk this earth till my demise
Till once again I hold my child.
