Charles M. Moore - Untill we meet again

2014-10-28 11

Dress me in silk when I lay down
and make my bedding red
three coffins one inside of each
of elm and oak and lead

Place me high upon the cart
high as the horses head
and walk with me through cobbled streets
to let your grief be fed

And sing for me and pray for me
but please don't be misled
I am fine and I am well
although my bodys dead

Remember me I bid you well
rejoice in all I said
be happy and be fond of me
I loved the life I led

I loved you all I really did

but this is not the end
it's only momentary
untill we meet again.
