These juvenile circumstances
Will not die.
Get ready for this virile downpour.
This starts now.
Who needs time
When one needs only
To pull closer
And seal the spaces
Or bathe in kerosene
To catch fire?
Who needs the profound waters
When one needs only
To feel the sting of the narrow corners
That hiss the aches
Of the broken clocks?
Who needs the cavernous impasse
When one only needs
To slither down the pillars
And relish?
Waxing, these structures
Glinting under the chandeliers.
Catching fire,
With the speed of light
But the incandescence of a flickering lamp.
Pull away,
Pull apart,
Drifting like archipelagos
But we aren’t any of these
Arbitrary vessels.
The waters are on fire,
And the flames are
Intensifying over the waters.
Who needs to extinguish
What singes like the noon?
