Wild animals can sometimes show up in unlikely places. A deer recently wandered into the Days Inn Penn State in Pennsylvania.

The buck was able to enter the building through the automatic doors near the lobby. Just before they opened, the animal plowed head first into a side window.

Once inside, the deer ran past the check-in desk. A staffer on duty at the time appeared to be shocked as the creature bolted around the corner and slid.

The incident occurred on Friday at approximately 3:45 in the morning. The floors in the hotel had just been waxed, so the deer had a hard time staying on four legs.

The clerk dialed 911 right after witnessing the animal. In the meantime, the buck continued to run around the establishment.

The creature jumped over some shrubs, fell onto the slippery floor again and then ran into a secured area.

Another staffer was able to lock the door to the room to safely contain the deer, that was later euthanized due to injuries it has sustained.

A spokesperson for State College police remarked “This time of year, deer act a little differently and do things that are unusual.”
