Maduro orders reassessment of Venezuela-Spain relations

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has ordered a reassessment of his country's relationship with Spain. He did so after Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy met with Lilian Tintori, wife of jailed, far-right Venezuelan politician Leopoldo Lopez who led a coup-like attempt called 'La salida' (the way out), last February 12. Rajoy, criticized Venezuela's perceived lack of political freedoms, questioned the validity of its judicial system, and urged Venezuela to release Lopez. Maduro called Spain's behavior "interventionist and disrespectful." teleSUR
