A bus driver dived onto the pavement and tackled a passenger following a row over a fare in a fight which was captured on CCTV.
Extraordinary footage shows David Newstead, 43, diving off his bus and becoming involved in a brawl with two men on the pavement after one appeared to throw an object at him through the open door.
The video shows Tyler Belgrave-Breeds and Sean Dickson, both 23, leaving the bus before one of the men appears to tamper with its wing mirror.
Newstead leaves the bus to adjust it and the group appear to exchange words on the pavement before an object is thrown at the driver as he returns to the bus.
He responds by launching himself at the passenger, who appears to trip as he retreats and the pair land in a heap on the floor before exchanging blows.
A video of the scuffle, which police reported was caused by a dispute over a fare, was released this week after both passengers were found guilty of affray in relation to the incident on March 27. Newstead was given a six-month conditional discharge earlier this year after admitting affray
