A woman in Orlando is receiving serious credit from her employer after safely driving 4 million miles over the course of her career. Ginny Odom has spent the last 4 decades delivering packages for UPS.

She is among the company’s first female delivery drivers. Not once in her 40 year career has she crashed, and that doesn’t just pertain to serious wrecks. It also means she’s never even had a slight fender bender.

Odom is the number 1 woman driver in UPS’s Circle of Honor, which commends staffers who manage to avoid accidents. At first she drove the brown delivery trucks before moving up to the big rigs.

Odom commented “You have to pay attention, and you must stick to the safety routines that you learn. You need to get proper rest. If you're tired, you stop and walk around or get something to drink.”

During her childhood, she spent time on a farm in Tennessee, where she learned how to operate a clutch on a John Deere tractor. There are 102,000 UPS drivers worldwide and Odom is one out of only 42 active drivers who have reached 40 years without an accident.
