Nurse's dog plays happily, tests negative for Ebola

Bentley, the one-year-old King Charles Spaniel belonging to a Dallas nurse infected with Ebola, has tested free of the virus and will remain in isolation for the remainder of his 21-day monitoring period.

The City of Dallas released video on Thursday (October 23) of the now-famous dog playing and happily wagging his tail while in isolation.

Dr. Catherine McManus, Director of Operations at Dallas Animal Services, said he was doing "great".

"We are so excited that he is negative, and you know, pray that he continues to be negative when we continue to test him and that this can all be put behind them and they can be reunited," McManus said.

Bentley, belongs to nurse Nina Pham, who is in good condition at a National Institutes of Health hospital in Maryland.
