Soon, the Kurdish defending force, from the Democratic Union Party or the PYD, will be joined by Kurdish peshmerga fighters from Iraq.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan says 200 peshmerga will be allowed to enter Kobani though Turkey.

"PYD initially declined a reinforcement by peshmerga forces. Later on, after saying yes, they disagreed with the Kurdish government over the number of peshmerga fighters that would be dispatched. I have learned that yesterday they finally reached agreement on a figure of 200 (fighters)"
But Erdogan is wary. He calls the PYD a "terrorist" group---because of it's links with an outlawed group in Turkey that has spent thirty years fighting for autonomy for Turkey's own Kurdish population.
