AMC’s The Walking Dead returned for a 5th season with 17.29 million people tuning in. Here are 5 things you may not know about the popular zombie drama:

Number 4: Carl’s stunt double is actually a 31 year old woman named Ashley.

Number 3: The one-eyed dog is a hero in real life. Named Dooley in the real world, the pup lost his eye defending his owner during a carjacking.

Number 2: The Rick Grimes character is said to be from King County, Georgia. This is a nod to Stephen King, who is good friends with creator Frank Darabont who was fired by AMC in 2011.

Number 1: Actors that are cast as ‘walkers’ actually go to “Zombie School” where they learn how to walk and move like a zombie.
