Honoo no Doukyuuji: Dodge Danpei 2 is the second - for whatever reason - in Sunsoft's series of (get ready for this) Card-battle-based dodgeball RPGs. I will repeat that, for it bears repeating: Card-battle-based dodgeball RPGs. That's right, the fast-paced action of, oh, Super Dodge Ball has been turned down to turn-based speed - almost like a Captain Tsubasa or any of a number of Japanese sports titles that rely on Blitzball-style decision making. It's a wholly unique experience, complemented by a late-cycle mastery of the hardware.
