At a quiet seaside high school on Jeju Island, a power vacuum emerges after the school hotshot leaves. Do Jin (Yook Dong Il, Landscape in My Heart) and Min Ku (Lee Seung Min, The Slingshot) begin to compete for the affections of classmate Seo Yeon (Han Lee Bin, The Divine Weapon). Lonely transfer student Dong Il (Kim Doo Jin) soon joins the fight for Seo Yeon, and for control over the class. Helmed by Jung Jong Hoon, who directed February 29 from the 4 Horror Tales anthology, the 2010 Korean indie Sadness in Beauty is a subtle yet telling look at youth romance and rivalry.
