MQM members of Sindh Assembly strongly condemned the provincial authorities for neglecting Mohajir candidates in government’s jobs and termed the prejudice was a deliberate attempt to deprive Urdu-speaking community.
In a joint statement, the Parliamentarians said that the current government’s jobs announced in Sindh Police, Excise & Taxation, Sindh Building Control Authority and various other government departments and Mohajir candidates being neglected by the authorities’ unprecedented biasness. They said that such acts of discrimination not only causing Mohajirs to be segregated and alienated.
They despised their undue prejudice and termed it economical killing of Urdu-speaking community. They said that it was the responsibility of Sindh government to maintain justice and merit in the hiring of current government vacancies, but the deliberate negligence should strongly be condemned.
The Parliamentarians demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to stop discriminating Mohajir candidates. They also said that all the vacancies should be filled with due merit and authorities should stop financially killing of Urdu-speaking community.
