German analysts and investors remain pessimistic.
The ZEW think tank’s monthly latest economic sentiment survey showed morale was down for a tenth consecutive month.
The reading was the weakest in nearly two years.
It was taken from questioning 223 business analysts and institutional investors between Sept 29 and Oct 13 and comes amid a fall in factory orders, industrial production, and foreign trade
ZEW blamed “Geopolitical tensions and the weak economic development in some parts of the eurozone” for the persistent uncertainty and said it expects “the economic situation in Germany to decline further over the medium term”.
