A stolen prosthetic leg that rightfully belongs to a Vietnam War vet has been found by police. According to the victim Sonny Forriest Jr., he had been singing in the parking lot of Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field last night during the Eagles-Giants game when his leg was swiped.

He was using a motorized wheelchair and removed his prosthetic leg during the performance. Everything went fine until he began packing up his belongings. Forriest Jr said his friends were dancing with the leg but they put it back.

Soon after, he was approached by an intoxicated woman who looked to be in her 20s. Forriest Jr. explained “She jumped in my lap. She gripped my leg and I didn’t even know it. I looked down and she took my leg! Then she disappeared!”

Hours after the theft occurred, SEPTA police discovered the leg on a subway train. It has since been returned to Forriest Jr.

The woman has not yet been located but law enforcement officials are looking at the SEPTA surveillance footage which may have captured the stolen property being abandoned.

Reportedly, detectives believe three females may have been involved in the crime.
