New Technology To Provide Airline Passengers A Silent Trip

Passengers traveling on an airplane will be able to enjoy a flight free of noise from the plane and fellow cabin mates.

Traveling on an airplane full of noise may soon become a thing of the past, thanks to the development of ‘Active Noise Control’ technology.

Both Boeing and Airbus have placed a priority on noise reduction in their latest airplane designs.

Silentium Limited has developed their Quiet BubbleTM technology, which is capable of reducing ‘more than 10 decibel A across the entire audio spectrum’.

Silentium focuses on generating products to reduce noise and overheating for multiple industries, including the IT-sector. Through these developments, the company has created a new way to reduce noise on airplanes.

The patented microchip technology was recently introduced at the Airline Passenger Experience Expo, or APEX, in Anaheim, California.

While interest has been shown by partners looking to utilize the technology in VIP and private jets, according to Silentium's CPO, "...the main target is to bring it to the Economy class.”

Silentium is already working with airplane suppliers to integrate the technology into airplane seats, the In-Flight entertainment system or the P.A. system.

Wherever it is installed, the Quiet Bubble products will allow passengers to enjoy a reduced noise flight.
