Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV dated September 27th, 2014
There needs to be somewhere for people fleeing from war to live in safety. They are ignoring the issue. ISIL, the PKK, Assad and many other gangs have all come down on the populace. The innocent civilians need a safe place to live. They would immediately have set up a safe haven had it been their own people. It is terribly sad for the people there, a disgrace.
Had what is happening in that region been happening in Europe they would set up a safe haven right away. Why are Europeans treating people in the Middle East in such a strange way? Is it not tragic for those people? They just want to be somewhere safe. All they are saying is, I will stay here, and you will protect me. They want to be protected against the enemy, the terrorists. Why is that request not being met?
In addition, ISIL is not a threat to Turkey. They cannot take part in such madness. But ISIL was a threat to the (communist separatist terrorist organization) PKK. Indeed, they attacked the PKK and routed it.
A safe haven must therefore be set up at once in the region. Let us write a letter about the technical requirements. Authorities totally fail to grasp the issue. They keep putting it off. There is nothing working against European countries in this. No harm will come to any country’s territorial integrity. There just needs to be a place where people can live in peace.
- Russia thinks the opposition to Assad will end up being trained there. They fear that, since Syrian planes will not be able to get to it.
Adnan Oktar: Turkey will never turn the area into a training ground. That is a foolish worry.
- America had decided that the opposition to Assad should be supported and trained. But there is nowhere they can do that there. They are uneasy about using a safe area for that.
Adnan Oktar: Turkey would never allow such a disgrace. Turkey will be a guarantor. People will live in that area. Those who wish to be trained can go where they like. There will be a safe haven where people can live in safety, as the name suggests. Turkey’s being guarantor is more than sufficient. They can entrust the area to Turkish troops.
