Follow the music, admire the art, place yourself inside historic architecture, in Telesur's "Cultura Latina". In this week's program, host Mauricio Izquierdo takes us first to Bogota to the Artnexus Building for the exhibit "Realities in Conflict", space for participants to express themselves artistically and politically. Co-curator Francine Birbragner explains the significance of the exhibit; and then to Quito with artist Luis Lopez, owner of the Humacatama hat store, which since the 1920s has preserved a unique and diverse family hat making tradition. Lopez explains the history of the use of hats in Ecuador and Latin America from when they were first imposed by the Spanish conquerors and their adaptation by the indigenous population, including women. teleSUR
