2014-10-10 1

In Colombia, judges and other legal professionals went on strike for the second time in 18 months, halting nearly 400,000 court proceedings. The striking legal system workers are insisting that the government update its outdated facilities which have seen few changes over the last 30 years, including technological changes. The country has a backlog of hundreds of thousands of cases and 8,000 legal aides hired to assist with the backlog of cases are about to be unemployed. Charles Parkinson reports from Bogota. teleSUR
