Madrid, Oct 7 (EFE), (Camera: Raúl García Cabo).- Bayern Munich Juan Bernat said Tuesday that he was surprised national coach Vicente del Bosque had called him to play the qualifying matches for the UEFA Euro 2016 against Slovakia and Luxembourg.

"I received the call after training had finished and I didn't expect it. It was such a surprise being on that list. I really appreciate that the coach counted on me and playing with these players is such a priviledge," Bernat added.

Bernat is now enjoying his first hours as an official member of the national team, in which some of his former Valencia teammates are helping him adapt to the rest of the squad. "There are people who I already know such as Jordi Alba, who's a friend from my time at Valencia, or Paco." He stressed that being in the same team as European and world champions was a dream come true and added that he hoped to learn a lot from them.
