How well do you really know your facebook friends? One man in Melbourne, Australia is going the extra mile to incorporate his digital buddies into his real life.

In September, 28-year-old Matt Kulesza initiated a project called 1000+ Coffees. On his blog, Kulesza notes that he wants to have one-on-one coffee with each of his friends over the course of the next three years, or even longer if need be.

The campaign has already started. He’s had coffee with a number of male and female friends on his Facebook list.

Following each encounter, Kulesza shares stories about what he learned during the coffee date, including how he met the other person and how they have changed over the years.

Kulesza also shares the little details, like what kind of drink they order. He mostly goes with the flow when it comes to conversation.

Kulesza stated “The point of the project is to see who these people actually are and get to know them. It’s amazing to see how interesting everyone can be if you make the effort and reach out. Everyone has incredible stories to tell.”

Thus far, he’s met with more than 20 facebook friends and has even accepted a job from one of his coffee companions.
