Typhoon Vongfong promises to be the Western Pacific's next threat, and indeed the storm is already bearing down on the Mariana Islands. Guam, Saipan, and all points in between are under typhoon warnings, and the storm poses a long-range threat to Japan, just like the previous storm, Phanfone, is currently doing.
