Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Caveman Games for the Nintendo Entertainment System developed by Dynamix and published by Electronic Arts. Long before touching was good and the first Wii Remote was waggled, there were minigame collections on Nintendo platforms. Even the Nintendo Entertainment System, which had games like California Games, World Games and of course, Caveman Games. This is a six-game collection of Olympic-style events, only with a prehistoric theme. Events include throwing your mate like a discus, beating up other cavemen with clubs and trying to outrun a saber-tooth tiger. The hilarious premise is combined with button-mashy minigames surprisingly similar to modern takes on the genre such as the Mario Party games. Caveman Games offers single-player and local multiplayer play. This video review features video gameplay footage of Caveman Games for the Nintendo Entertainment System and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
