The new Polish Prime Minister, Ewa Kopacz, has won an overnight vote of confidence.
She was backed by 259 votes in the Lower House with 183 against and seven abstentions.
Kopacz replaces Donald Tusk who has gone to Brussels where to take up his new job as president of the European Council.
