Defense stocks have been in focus of late with geopolitical flare-ups in the Middle East and Ukraine. US along with some allies is now carrying out air strikes in Syria against the militant group known as the Islamic State. We are also going to train and provide equipment to rebel forces in that region. These moves are a substantial escalation of US’s role in the Middle East. As of now, we do not know the impact of these strikes on the larger conflict in that region. Now this operation may last for years.
