U.S. President Barack Obama at a White House meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underscored the ties between the U.S. and Israel and also said, "We have to find a way to change the status quo so that both Israeli citizens are safe in their own homes..but also that we don't have the tragedy of Palestinian children being killed as well."
Netanyahu also raised the issue of Iran, expressing concern about the lifting of sanctions and leaving Iran as a "threshold nuclear power."
