SCRIPT

A U.S. man who has been confirmed to have Ebola was being treated at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas on Tuesday. The man is the first case of Ebola in the United States.

The man recently travelled to Liberia, where it is thought he contracted the contagious illness. It is unknown if anyone else has become infected since the man returned to the United States on September 20.

A contagious disease with a mortality rate of over 50 percent, Ebola is spread through contact with bodily fluids. There is no known cure.
