Actor Jeff Goldblum has appeared in a number of box office hits. His latest gig involves the promotion of smart light bulbs.
If you have missed Jeff Goldblum's lately, his new gig involves the promotion of smart light bulbs.
In the ad, he fittingly portrays a famous person. His character is called Terry Quattro. He’s wearing a glittery blazer and flanked by two beautiful women.
Clichéd….maybe, but the commercial instantly attracts attention. Quattro then reveals the secret to his success is really great lighting. That’s where the pitch for the nearly 15 dollar light bulbs comes in.
While most bulbs are only a fraction of that cost, Goldblum’s character announces that the GE Link bulb lasts 22 years.
To break the seemingly high cost down further he says the yearly price of the light bulb is 66 cents. The Link smart bulbs are screwed on like every other one, but they have a tiny computer inside that allows homeowners to use their phones to connect to the Wink hub and power the lights on and off.
They can also dim the bulbs and set timers.
