Twenty-two policemen in city of Iguala in the Mexican state of Guerrero were detained for having opened fire this past Friday night on two busloads of college students. The initial reports indicate that three students are dead, 24 injured, and 58 missing or disappeared. Students claimed the police opened fire without warning. A student strike has been underway this week, calling for the prosecution of the mayor of Iguala and governor of Guerrero. The families call the murders extrajudicial killings.
