Clashes broke out between Syrian Kurdish refugees and Turkish security forces near the Turkey-Syrian border, Monday, with the latter using tear gas to disperse the crowd.
The Turkish government has deployed a heavy presence of armed security forces near the Syrian border after two Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) mortar shells hit Turkish ground amid on-going U.S. airstrikes on Kobane.
Hundreds of thousands of Syrian Kurds have fled IS militants and U.S. air strikes, many crossing the border into Turkey.
