Hong Kong police on Saturday (September 27) removed about 50 protesters who had forced their way into government headquarters.
The demonstrators were removed one by one, some were carried out.
The entire process was conducted peacefully. Meanwhile, hundreds of supporters outside the building's compound chanted slogans to support the mostly student filled demonstration and to condemn the police.
The protests had turned violent on Friday night when hundreds of students and demonstrators forced their way past a police cordon and scaled the fences of the building's compound.
Protesters are opposing a decision by Beijing to reject free and open elections to chose the city's next leader in 2017.
