The peace process to put an end to Latin America's longest running civil war is progressing in the opinion of both sides in the conflict. The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) held a press conference in which it reiterated its call for a bilateral cease fire, a demand the government has not accepted. The rebels said that for the peace process to move forward more interaction with the Colombian public would be needed, indicating a more open and transparent approach as more agreements are made.
