Manuel Pellegrini says there is a "possibility to do the best for Manchester City" when it comes to extending Frank Lampard's short-term loan deal at the Etihad.
Lampard has scored for the Premier League champions in their last two matches, and while Pellegrini says the ex-Chelsea man is a "very important player" for the club, he insists there is no rush to secure Lampard's services beyond January 2015.
City travel to Hull on Saturday without a win in their last two Premier League games and Pellegrini expects a tough test at the KC Stadium against a "very strong" Tigers team.
