A bizarre new video shows a man travel halfway around the world to get the very first iPhone 6 – and then dump it in a pitcher of beer.

Mark begins his journey in Montréal, Canada, where he announces he will be flying to Australia in the hope of being the first person to get their hands on the new device.

And after taking a plane to Australia, a car to Brisbane and then paying a young couple at the front of the queue thousands of dollars to buy him the iPhone, Mark finally gets to take the gadget home… where he apparently dumps it in a pitcher of beer.

‘This seems very weird and wrong,’ he says.
And if you hadn’t worked out what the stunt was about from the YouTube uploader’s name, which – let’s be honest – you should have, the reason soon becomes clear.

Using a Reviveaphone repair kit, the dead phone is placed in a pouch and some liquid for seven minutes and then left to dry for 24 hours.

And to the delight of Mark and the team behind the camera, the phone switches back on.

He even calls his girlfriend – though she doesn’t share his enthusiasm.
