A clean up operation got underway in McCloud, California, on September 22, after mudslides sent boulders and other debris hurtling down Mt Shasta on Saturday. According to local reports, Emergency response crews used heavy machinery to remove boulders, logs and other debris from the Mud Creek and Pilgrim Creek Road areas of McCloud. Authorities believe that a glacier dam rupture lead to the mudslides.
