ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
A man jumped over the White House fence and made it to the front doors of the executive mansion before being apprehended on Friday (September 19), sparking an evacuation within the complex shortly after President Barack Obama departed for the weekend.
Amateur video filmed by flight attendant Brandon Pawlinski showed the intruder as he ran across the White House North Lawn. Pawlinski, who lives in Newark, New Jersey, was visiting the White House during a stay in the area for work when he saw a man standing near him jump over the fence.
As security shouted to bystanders to back away from the White House, another officer can be heard saying "The individual is on the north side."
The incident is the latest in a series of recent cases in which members of the public have made it over or through the White House gates, leading to lockdowns.
